Boston Breakers To Visit Project GOAL This Friday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Boston Breakers Lisa Cole and Allison Lipsher will visit with Project GOAL at the Moses Brown School in Providence, Rhode Island this Friday, June 12. Lisa Cole is the current Assistant Coach with the Breakers and a former Head Coach of the Women’s Varsity Soccer Team at the University of Rhode Island. Allison is a goalkeeper with the Breakers and former standout at Duke University.
“We have been privileged to have various players and coaches from the area college and professional soccer teams visit with the kids in Project GOAL. Lisa Cole has been a friend of our program since we first started in 2003 and we look forward to having her and Allison see how the program has grown.” – Darius Shirzadi, Executive Director and Co-Founder.
Project GOAL, Inc. (Greater Opportunity for Athletes to Learn), is an after-school initiative that partners with the Central Falls School Department, SCOPE/Central Falls School District, Providence School Department, and the Soccer Rhode Island Olympic Development Program. Project GOAL’s mission is to facilitate the development of New England’s disadvantaged inner city youth through after-school tutoring, health education, and soccer-related programs.
A non-profit 501©3 organization, Project GOAL, Inc., is comprised of professionals from the business, academic, health and soccer communities who support the project in achieving its objectives in creating opportunities for its “GOALie” participants.
